Our process

From first call to reveal day.

Every project follows the same four steps so you always know what's next, when to expect it, and what we need from you along the way.

16 five-star Google reviews

Most of the stress in a staging or design project comes from not knowing what happens next. Furniture arrives on a day nobody confirmed, the photographer is booked before the rooms are ready, or a homeowner spends a weekend painting a room we were always going to fill with something else. None of that is a design problem — it is a sequencing problem.

So the process below is deliberately boring. Four steps, in the same order, every time, with the decisions front-loaded into the walkthrough so install day is execution rather than improvisation. You approve a written scope before anything is ordered, and you know the dates before we book them.

It works the same whether we are doing a full vacant staging, an interior design project for a home you are keeping, or a smaller consultation. The scale changes; the order does not.

Step by step

The four steps, in order.

  1. 01

    Free discovery call

A short conversation to understand your home, your timeline, and your goals. We'll walk you through what to expect, then send a written proposal — no pressure, no obligation.

  2. 02

    On-site consultation

We visit the home, take measurements and reference photos, and identify the rooms that will earn the most attention from buyers. You leave with a clear sense of what we'll bring in and what stays.

  3. 03

    Design + staging install

Our team handles delivery, placement, accessorizing, and styling — usually in a single day. You hand us the keys, we hand them back transformed.

  4. 04

    Reveal & photography

Photos look like a magazine spread. Showings start immediately. When the home sells, we de-stage on a coordinated schedule so the new owner walks into a perfectly empty space.

Your part

What we need from you, and when.

Short version: less than most people expect, and never at the last minute.

Before the call

Have your address, rough timeline, and a few phone photos ready. That is genuinely all we need to give you a useful first answer.

Before the walkthrough

Nothing. Do not tidy for us — seeing the house as it really lives tells us more than a staged version of a staging consultation would.

Before install day

Finish any painting, repairs, or carpet work, and clear the rooms we agreed to empty. We arrive after the trades, never alongside them.

After the sale

Give us a de-stage date once you have a closing date. We coordinate around your movers so nothing overlaps.

FAQ

Process questions, answered.

What is the first step?

Send us a note with your address, timeline, and a few photos. Betsy will come back to arrange a walkthrough, and after that you receive a written proposal with scope and pricing. There is no charge for the conversation.

How quickly can you stage my listing?

Once we have walked the property and agreed on scope, a typical vacant staging is installed within one to two weeks, depending on inventory and access. If you are working against a photography date, tell us at the first call and we will tell you honestly whether we can hit it.

Who moves and installs the furniture?

We do. Our team handles delivery, placement, styling, and the removal at the end. You are not asked to lift anything or to be on site for install day if that is easier.

What if the house sells before the rental period ends?

Nothing bad happens. The initial period is already paid; after that you simply stop being charged. Give us a closing date and we schedule the de-stage around your movers.

Do you charge for the first consultation?

The initial phone conversation is free. The on-site walkthrough is where the real work starts, so for design and colour projects it is a paid consultation; for staging it is typically folded into the project if you move ahead. We tell you which applies before we book anything.

Who will I actually be working with?

Betsy Mincey, the owner, runs every project personally — she does the walkthrough, builds the design, and is on site for the install with her team. You are not handed off to a rotating account manager.
